Why Do I Want To Help You?

If no one else is helping you. Then we can. We are contributors. We upload while others download. We want to be famous as a contributor, not as someone who just brag and actually does nothing.

Open Source is important in our work as it ensures non-redundancy, worldwide adoption and faster turn around time in quality. Many have misunderstood the non-free lunch precept and think they can lock up via indirect licensing such as now happening with 'Open Core' or commercial open source as in the likes of Compiere and OpenBravo (the worst kind of fork of Compiere as it is so unethical to reap off another project for its own profit).

Don't get me wrong. Profit is fine but patenting it is not. The Bible and Quran were not patented and opening it up only enriches the world and made them more valuable in time. So is it with contributions. We get branded. We get jobs and we feed our kids. But others keep saying, "I need to feed my kids" when they already have enough. That outlives its excuse. That is not an excuse. That is greed.

In short I want a good life where Karma shines on me. :)
